 This project is a culmination of my work in Boise State University's Master of Educational Technology Degree Program.  It consists of three parts:

  • Artifacts: My course work is linked to the AECT Standards
  • Rationale Paper: The use of each project is justified
  • Reflection Video: My growth throughout this program is explained


I am currently an Art teacher at Kelly Middle School in the East Detroit Public Schools in Eastpointe, Michigan.  I have taught all grades, K-12, at some point in my 9 years of teaching Art.  I sought this degree because I was looking for something that would relate to teaching art, and with the fast pace of changing technology, this degree was a perfect fit.  This year,  I have enjoyed learning how to use my new Smart Board and incorporating it into so many lessons.  Our district will be one of the first in our county to install Smart Boards in every classroom.  This degree has prepared me in knowledge and confidence level to jump in and adapt to the new technology.  Because of what I have been doing in the classroom, I have been asked by our technology director to give several demonstrations to the elementary students and parents to show them the exciting new technology that they will be getting installed in their classrooms for next school year.  I look forward to seeing how my new skills continue to benefit the students in our district.
